'kä-lik

col·ic - - Severe abdominal pain caused by spasm, obstruction, or distention of any of the hollow viscera, such as the intestines. Often a condition of early infancy, colic is marked by chronic irritability and crying.

This seems to be a common occurrence with me now. Holding the tot and all is about a fuss. Man, kids are worse than a 50 mile hammer ride with "Glenn, Glenn, Glenn. . ." Well, it appears that our little Frankie has the infamous colic. I provided the definition for you from Websters, but I have my own definition of it and it's not what the dictionary has! PITA! Now, he's not like this every minute of the day, he is very cute and he even sometimes sleeps. But there are plenty of times where he is just plain rude. How dare he. I'm still getting used to being sleep deprived and learning how to power sleep every couple of hours. One of these days I'm gonna fall into a coma at work. I can't imagine this going on for six months as some have told me. I mean, Frankie is only three weeks old! I think I'd go insane even more than I am already. There is some relief in the works for us though. Our next door neighbor, Laurie, seems to have the Midas touch. She can somehow calm him down. I think it's just dumb luck. She doesn't have to deal with the FBI like Ulla and I do, she has the luxury of the aftermath. That's cool though, she is going to be able to watch Frankie as Ulla and I get back into training next year. We also have help from the Grandmas, as you can see below, the recipe is one part Grandma, one part of wine (red or white), one part rocker, one part of Enfamil - Gentlease Lipil (the stuff for colic babies). Add it all together and that makes for a beautiful, peaceful time for the parents.

TONY AND ULLA, YOU GUYS ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB WITH FRANKIE AND ALL HIS GRIEF- WHICH IS GOING TO BE MINOR TO THE GRIEF HE WILL GIVE YOU IN HIS TEEN YEARS - ESPECIALLY IF HE IS ANYTHING LIKE HIS DAD. AS FAR AS THIS GRANDMA GOES, FRANKIE CAN DO NO WRONG - ENJOY HIM.
